but hear me correctly when I say this statement.

Passages such as, "but hear me correctly when I say this statement." are unintentionally funny. While it was preachy and verbose, I did connect with certain parts, and the animation was very well done. This thing took a lot of chances which is why it was simultaneously whack/awesome. Props man.

nahtanojmal responds:

Well thank you :D

not bad

Takes about two lines to recognize Omahdon's voice, that guy is all over NG.

Kreid responds:

Good voice actors get around :p

fived, tenned, faved

Top notch writing, animation, and voice acting. Very rare to see this level of quality in amateur flash. If you guys are building a portfolio for a career doing this stuff, I'm sure you'll be landing sweet gigs in no time.
Keep it up.

Toonwerks responds:

Maybe, but right now we're more concerned with just doing the best job we're able to do. Plus, I'm not sure how we'd handle doing gigs just yet. It'd be amazing for sure but in a way I'm glad it's a stress we don't have to worry about just yet :P

damn

You sir, get a 5, 10, fave. This has the exact aesthetic I want from a highly visual sci fi short. Excellent, evocatively styled frame by frame character movements- no dialogue, all physical story telling. I had to watch it a few times, each time thinking, "somebody really busted their ass drawing all these frames and it only took me two seconds to watch them. I need to see it again." I especially enjoyed when the character pulls out her gun, which transforms out of something from her belt. Very cool submission.

danomano65 responds:

haha for the longest time i knew it was a gun but had no idea how it unfolded. it was really fun discovering that.

suicide depictions

Does anyone else find it strange that out of 12ish artists, two decided (probably without knowing about each other's submission) to depict characters committing suicide by gunshot to the head? I'm sure these were meant to be on some ways humorous or provocative but it seems to be unsettlingly indicative of something about our culture, or at least web culture that such a significant portion of the artists in this collab decided that they wanted to do that and nothing else with their 60 frames.

SteakandKidneyPie responds:

Yes, I personally am not a fan of suicidal animations, but yeh. There were two suicides and something like 3 vomit scenes within the movie.

Thanks for reviewing

p1?

Not bad... but can I ask where to find part one?

merit44 responds:

Part one is listed as *dfmrpreloader* but just a warning it's very short. This whole thing was just meant to give people better idea of my characters but judging how some seem to be rating this I think I need to consintrate my efforts on the full movie so I don't turn everyone off to it.

comic sans

"'m sorry guy, but you seem to have been caught using Comic Sans.
Even if this was the best flash file ever, I wouldn't be able to vote higher than 0. Sorry, my hands are tied."

HAHAHAH yes! A fellow comic Sans hater. You wrote that reveiw for jack french.

<3

I have't seen the flash yet, but i voted strait tens :P.

BlaueMech responds:

Thank you sir! Comic sans is indeed a blight upon our greenish earth.

WOW!

SHEESH man, this must have been SO MUCH FREAKING WORK. Great submission. The animation just kept getting better and better as the movie progressed. I wish I had your patience, I have envisioned alot of films with that sense of perpetually shifting perspective, but I can only FBF for so long, heh.

Keep up the great work.

StephenRedmond responds:

Thanks, man. Heh, yeah, FBF is, uh... arduous, to say the least. But it makes it worth it to see the thing finished. Especially getting so many views and reviews, daily feature, front page and added to collections. Well worth it! :)

Skilled animation

You have good artwork, and are a very skilled animator, but your storyline was a little incoherant and hard to connect with.

Drunkenhispanic responds:

Well, I was going to have no storyline but my brother convinced me to put in the little there was.

DAMN thats witty

Ironhorn totally missed the point. This is probably one of the most sharp witted things on NG. Its going on my favorites man. I realise it isn't funny, but in a way... yea.. it is. Wish I would have thought of this.

Mp3-Lock responds:

hah I was wondering how many people would understand this movie =D

Woot! The Wet Side of Damp got frontpage! Hopefully I will be so lucky with my next submission, which will probably be a teaser to a sci-fi series, based on the game Astrobattle. (Astrobattle.com)
